Order of Knights | 2005
about the project...
Violence comes in many forms, like the devil.
Emotional, physical, verbal, psychological, blackmail, coercion and the list does not end here.
We usually consider violence in its basic forms, those that are easily visible, but also - very often - those that are not visible at first sight. This play speaks of all its forms, visible and not, using an order of knights to describe it. Why?
Knights, creatures refined, well-dressed, with an elaborate code of behaviour and communication, are inwardly the dirtiest and most uninhibited of creatures. Violence is hidden within them. They need a simple stimulus to easily eat each other and the enemy. History has proven it. What the play proposes is 'let's eat each other' but with humour, which requires a measure of intelligence.
